On May 13th, 2014, the signing ceremony of tripartite cooperation among Xi’an Bright Laser Technologies Co., Ltd. (BLT), China Aviation Supplies Import and Export Group Corporation (China Aviation Supplies Holding Company, CASC) and SNECMA was held in BLT. This event is evidence that BLT’s technical sophistication and product quality have been accepted by another world’s top aviation engine manufacturer. BLT is taking a firm step towards internationalization as the exclusive manufacturer of metal 3D printing parts for world-class aero engine companies such as Airbus and SNECMA.
BLT GM Xue Lei, CASC GM Yang Xiaoming and SNECMA Vice-president Etienne Galan signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of BLT, CASC and SNECMA.
BLT President Huang Weidong said at the ceremony that through this cooperation, BLT hopes to deepen its understanding of cutting-edge state and trends of global aviation technology and learn advanced ideas and culture from SNECMA (Safran). BLT values the cooperation with SNECMA and spares no effort to render high-grade services, thus contributing to the continuous development of SNECMA’s aviation products.
CASC GM Yang Xiaoming pointed out that, 3D printing sweeps around the world and will surely make the manufacturing sector be prodded to leap forward before forming a brand-new industrial format. CASC makes much account of this signing, expecting to bring China’s advanced metal 3D printing technology onto the global stage by facilitating this cooperation between BLT and SNECMA. According to SNECMA Vice-president Etienne Galan, SNECMA has been trying to find the best metal 3D printing manufacturers all over the world for the most cutting-edge technical support. This cooperation with BLT, a 3D printing tycoon featuring BLT technical strength, is expected to apply metal 3D printing to new engines like LEAP for sharping the market competitiveness of SNECMA’s products and boosting the aero sustainable development.
Under the introduction of CASC, BLT will leverage SNECMA’s considerable clout in the European aero market to accelerate its internationalization, enhance the brand international influence and expand a wider international market. This cooperation will also lay a solid foundation for China’s 3D printing cause to go global.
CASC is a central enterprise administrated by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC). With a globally high reputation and good brand image, CASC has maintained permanent close partnership with internationally renowned aero-engine manufacturers such as Boeing, Airbus and Safran.
